★★★★★ “Red Habenero wings… BEST WINGS I’VE EVER HAD! Not that spicy if your nervous about that, extremely flavorful! I cannot wait to come back JUST for the wings!

Apparently the wings are from Delia Foley’s bar in Federal Hill. I really enjoy how they are bringing a bunch of things from Baltimore in one spot at the beach, because the also have slushies (like the ones at Stalking Horse but they are not exactly the same because they are not credited like Delia’s was on the menu).

All of the food that came out looked delicious, definitely a couple dollars more than you would expect in Bmore, but you are on vacation… and lets face it ALL food in OC is horrendous… I am on spending a couple more dollars for edible food. And we went during happy hour and the dozen wings we ordered were only $4.50 (half off original price). HAPPY HOUR

The atmosphere is great! We were a little skeptical because it is right on coastal highway, but you don’t feel it at all when you are inside. The whole front of the building, all 2 stories of it, is open to the outdoors. Which is what you want at the beach. And they even created a little sand y beach with playground out front for the kids.”

★★★★★ “We went as a family to Ropewalk Fenwick for lunch on a Friday in August. It was not overly crowded or loud but I definitely see the potential for both later in the afternoon and into the evening.

The staff was excellent with our girls – 7 and 2. They brought the kids food with our oysters, which is a solid move. Overall, we thought the service was very attentive. Just another note about this place and kids: there is a small tot lot out front.

On to the food and drink: The oyster selection was very diverse, and the beer selection was extensive. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of high end wines on the wine list. We really wanted to try the crab guacamole, but that will have to wait until next time.

One of our kids had the fried clam strips, which was very good. Ropewalk doesn’t cut any corners on the batter. The other had the pasta option and ate every bite.

I had the Chesapeake Grilled Cheese sandwich — there was little, if any, filling in the crab cake. My wife had the crab cake sandwich and noted the same. Food quality was superb.

There is one item on the menu that I dream about trying, but don’t know if I’d ever have the courage: the independence burger… Two angus patties with the works held together by two glazed donuts. Yes, that’s right. Maybe someday!

Ropewalk is definitively worth a stop when you’re in the area!”

★★★★★ “Visiting my parents this weekend and had lunch here yesterday. Service is great and so is the atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and eat/drink outside and on the deck. Keep up the great beer list!”
